What's the deal with Intel's SSDs? Why are they so much more expensive?

Hello everyone,,

I bought my PC back in January, and with it I got an Intel SSD 530 Series 240GB. I didn't realize at the time that it was much more expensive than the other SSDs out there, like the 850 EVO and the Crucial MX100.

Why are Intel's SSD so much more expensive?
