Hi,

I got a 1TB intel 600p steam drive and did a bunch of benchmarks on it, they seem fine i guess, but i was expecting games to load much faster, and they don't really.

On my secondary monitor i have task manager running with this disk selected to see read writes etc and when games load i rarely see anything above 280MB/s reads. i mean older sata ssds do better, is this normal ?

specs: win 10 64bit, ryzen 2700x, asrock x470 taichi, gskill 3200mhz cl14 ddr4, rtx 2080, 2 sata ssds 1 hdd, 1 nvme ssd

Looking at your results suggests your SSD is working properly.

You might want to use the Intel SSD toolkit which can help maintain your SSD
