Hello azzi,

Typical hard drives, by themselves, do not require drivers. They connect to a SATA controller or chipset, and the system normally requires drivers to communicate with the storage controller.

If the Windows installer is not detecting your new drive and is requesting for drivers, we would advise you to contact the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support, so they can provide you with the correct drivers for your system.

- RAID volumes normally require a driver to be detected. If not using RAID, make sure to use the storage controller in AHCI (SATA) mode.
