Hi gruntly69,

We understand your situation regarding the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant that you are not able to install due to error code 80070643.

We would like to let you know that this application only supports the following products: Graphics drivers, wireless networking, Intel® NUCs, and Intel® Compute Sticks. We already tested the application in our lab and it does not provide SSDs information or drivers.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Support-Assistant?product=128824 Intel® Driver & Support Assistant - downloadcenter.intel.com

This SSD does not require any driver to work since it is a SATA SSD.

We would like to confirm the following information:

-Please post a screenshot of the device manager with the "Disk drives" tab expanded.

-Under device manager, Right click the unknown device and select properties.

-Go to the "Details" Tab.

-Under the drop-down menu, select the option that says "Hardware ID".

-Please provide us the information that is available there.

-Repeat the same process with the "Mass Storage Controller" that is listed under other devices too.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Regards,

Junior M.
