install steps for new 80gb g2

So...this is my first foray into the world of SSD's and I want to make the right choices. Went ahead and got an 80gb g2 drive and I am going to be installing Win 7 64 bit.

i was going to make sure bios is set to ahci, then update drive to latest firmware posted on intel site, then finally install windows. Once in windows i don't know what to do. should i install the intel toolbox? is that just for trim? or should i install the RST drivers? seems shady that i have to download those at station-drivers and they are not available from Intel.

help! 😃

thanks

Intel Toolbox is an application. You need to install all your drivers prior to installing any applications.

1) Intel Chipset

2) Intel RST driver

3) Hardware drivers

4) Applications

Enjoy Windows 7 and the speed of SSD

thanks!

so the only place to download the RST drivers is station-drivers?

and the latest intel chipset drivers directly from intel are fine?
