Here are two screenshots of the as ssd benchmark test, one in MBs and the same in Iops:

The tests have been run on the Windows 7 64 bootcamp partition (I booted the computer on Windows so it run natively). I hacked it to run in AHCI mode under bootcamp based on the instructions here:

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?87950-Enabling-AHCI-for-Windows-on-MBP-2011-n... http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?87950-Enabling-AHCI-for-Windows-on-MBP-2011-n...

I also installed the Intel RST driver.

Based on what on other results that I've seen on the internet the results for the 4k test show that the drive is not as fast as it should be.

I think I've set all the possible optimizer flags, I run the ssd tweaker, I disabled the system restore and decreased the size of the paging file.

Everything in the intel SSD toolbox looks fine, the optimizer runs in just a couple of seconds.

I kind of run out of ideas.

Intel has a firmware driver here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18363 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18363 but mine is 4PC10302. I assumed that this is more recent than the one on this link.

I had before a Seagate Momentus XT and this SSD doesn't feel that much faster than the momentus xt, at least not proportionally with the price (far from it). I feel I've been cheated.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you able to run the Intel SSD Toolbox to optimize the drive?

Yes, I am able to run it and I did run it multiple times.

Below is the drive information from the intel ssd toolbox.

I also found other test results here (the 300gb version): http://thessdreview.com/our-reviews/intel-320-series-300gb-sata-ii-ssd-review-as-ssd-and-pc-mark-van... http://thessdreview.com/our-reviews/intel-320-series-300gb-sata-ii-ssd-review-as-ssd-and-pc-mark-van... and here: http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=29974&page=5 http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=29974&page=5. Please note that the 4k read/write is almost double than mine.

I am not too sure what it is. Is it because I am running it in bootcamp? Is there anybody here that runs an intel 320 on bootcamp windows 7 ?

I am just curious, is this forum moderated by intel engineers? Should I call their support?
