HDD Erase did not solve the problem. Anybody tried Sanitary Erase?

At Windows installation it gives me error message that the hard drive is bad. Otherwise, I can use the drive just fine.

Download the Intel Toolbox and look at the smart value of "End to End EDC" (B8) and post all the B8 values here. Then I can have a look what's going on there.

My SSD is also reporting this smart error. This occured after upgrade to firmware 2CV102HA.

More details about what happen see my post at /message/72090# 72090 http://communities.intel.com/message/72090# 72090

Well guys, it looks like your drives are ready for RMA. At least, if my drive would produce this kind of error, I would know what to do!

Don't worry about it though, Intel has an excellent RMA policy (at least here in the Netherlands). I sent my first drive for RMA and I received a replacement within a week and this drive rocks.....
