Hello tummab,

Thanks for posting. We understand that you're experiencing issues to format your Intel® Optane™ SSD DC P4800X Series.

For documentation purposes, please provide us with the following details:

- Intel® System Support Utility file. You can find the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26735/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-the-Linux-Operating... download here.

- What's the firmware version on the SSD?

- Do you have any other system and OS to test this command?

- For testing only, can you please try different format options such as LBAFormat 0 instead of 2?

Best regards,

Eugenio F.
