slow random writes

system: ich9r southbridge, bios sata mode set to raid, intel g2 80gb ssd.

os: win7 32-bit.

disk setup: intel ssd as single os drive, 2 samsung 7200rpm hd in raid1 setup controled by raid bios

issue: random writes in this setup yield only ~4mb/second.. (have tried changed sata mode to ahci, random writes are in 50-70mb/second range, but losing raid1 support in this config..)

thoughts?

Hello, I would like to let you know that Intel does not support or provide information over benchmarking information and if you are using the Solid State Drive under the RAID option you will find performance degradation over time since the trim command will not work under that configuration.
