Intel's top of the tops solid state drives, the X25-E series models will next month be getting a firmware update, maybe when a 128GB version will also come out to play.
According to Intel, the 32 and 64GB SLC-based SSDs equipped with the new 8840 firmware, which includes 'incremental improvements' over the current firmware, are set to start shipping on August 10. Get ready to update.

Intel is upgrading the firmware for its High Performance X25-E SLC
Solid-State Drives to version 8840. These changes are incremental
improvements from previous firmware version. Inventory will transition
in the Intel factory on or beyond the above date to replace older
firmware version with the 8840 firmware version.
