AC 7260 Bluetooth problem

I have an Acer M3-581TG laptop, where I replaced the original Atheros WiFi/Bluetooth PCIe unit with the Intel AC7260 HMW. I have removed the original drivers and software then installed Intel Proset/Wireless s/w and the BT_17.1.1406.01_s64 drivers. I even used the command "setup.exe LPUSBHUBWA=TRUE" as suggested in another post. However bluetooth does not appear on the Windows Device Manager list.

The WiFi works fine

Can you suggest how I can get the Bluetooth to work?

Does it show a Generic Bluetooth adapter?

It is possible that your computer uses a software or hardware switch to enable the Bluetooth* feature.

However, we highly recommend asking the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm system manufacturer in order to obtain a list of validated wireless adapter models that are compatible with your system and the proper means to accomplish this hardware integration.

Thanks Joe

Bluetooth does not appear at all.

when I install a USB bluetooth dongle it appears and generic MS drivers are installed. When I remove the dongle the bluetooth devices disappear. This tells me the Intel bluetooth device is not been recognised!! Is there anything I can do to get Windows 7 to recognise the bluetooth h/w?

Thanks

I understood that you have removed the preinstalled combo (WiFi+Bluetooth*) adapter.

It is possible the BIOS could be designed to accept certain wireless adapter models only; hence the suggestion in the second paragraph above.
