AC 7265 wireless chip keeps shutting off

Hi, I have a laptop with an Ac 7265 wireless chip, and when under heavy load, eg. watching videos, playing games, the wireless card shuts off and cannot be turned back on unless by restarting the computer. I've turned off allow Windows to turn it off, going to power management and turning the wireless features off, turning it to only 802.11n, and I am also on the latest driver version. It's very annoying that I have to restart my computer to fix it, so please help. Thank you

Hello frontiergd,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

· Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

· Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

· To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

2. Is this issue recent or old?

3. Have you updated the BIOS?

4. Is the Bluetooth working properly?

5. Have you used the drivers from the laptop manufacturer?

6. Have you contacted the laptop manufacturer to check if the laptop has a malfunction?
