AC-8260 won't give me audio headset functionality for my phone

Hello,

I am trying to use my laptop(DELL E7470) as a headset for my phone's audio.

I have a AC-8260 adapter with 19.10.2.1 driver version(the latest I found on Intel's website)

When I double click on my phone in bluetooth connected devices I see only

-Browse Remote Folder

-Send File

-Play music

-Synchronize PIM DATA

The phone I have is a xiaomi redmi note3 which works as expected with my old Dell laptop.

Thank you

Hello Alexandros75,

This type of connection depends on the Bluetooth* profile required. It is important to mention that from Windows 8* onwards, audio profiles are supported natively by the Operating Systems.

Some profiles are not provided with Intel drivers, for example, the Headset Profile (HSP) is only available in Audio Gateway mode, so the computer can use a Bluetooth headset, but not act as headset itself. For more information about this, please check the following advisory:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000006802.html Features for Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® Technology

If this is happening and you are already using Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Software for Windows® 10 [19.11.1639] from our https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86068/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-8260 download center, then it may indicate that a specific profile is not supported. You may also check with the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer or Windows* Support for assistance about profiles.

Regards,

Jonathan.
