Dear Intel, my laptop Acer V13 (V3-371-5432) has Intel wireless AC 7265 adaptor, the issue is it never works properly with any wifi network -

1. Driver is up to date, i have last got an update of date 2019

2. Adaptor connects to wifi, and shows no internet, adaptor shows unidentified network

3. even if works for few mins it will drop the connection

4. have tried everything including setting up various adaptor settings

finally i had to get on with it and buy a USB adaptor, but eventually i will be looking for long term solution with internal adaptor only, please help

Hello IRath2

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to have a better understanding of your environment and this behavior, could you please provide the following information?

  1. Are you having issues with Wifi only or with Bluetooth too (both)?
  2. When did it start to happen? Did it work fine before at any time? Is this a new computer? Please provide details.
  3. Do you remember if this issue happened after a new Windows update or Wireless/Bluetooth driver update?
  4. Is the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 the original wireless adapter that came pre-installed in your system or did you install it on the laptop?
  5. Have you checked if this issue happens on different networks?
  6. Have you tried a different router or Access point for testing purposes?
  7. When the issue happens, do you notice any error message or behavior in Device Manager? For instance, does the Wireless card disappear from the Device Manager or does it show an error code in the General tab in Wireless Adapter properties in Device Manager?
  8. When you see the "no internet" message, do you have access to other devices in the Wireless LAN (Local Area Network)? For instance, if you do a ping command to the router/gateway does it work?

Also, please run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) and attach the report to this thread to gather more details about your system.

1- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

2- Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

3- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

4- To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom left-hand corner of the response box.
