Windows support for its various wireless modules is documented here: Supported Operating Systems for Intel Wireless Products.
As you can see, the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 module was discontinued a number of years ago and Intel's support for this module was terminated at Windows 8.1. Microsoft ported this driver to Windows 10 and provided it inbox - which means that support for it should have automatically been installed - but it is possible that Microsoft dropped this support in the latest releases, I don't know.
