Asus UX305, Intel dual band wireless-AC 7265: "Network Adapetr Drivers need to be Reinstalled"

Hi There:

I seem to have deleted my wireless adpter driver and my wired network adapter driver. As a result I cannot connect wirelessly or directly to the internet.

Does intel make the drivers for the above machine for wired connections as well?

if so where can I find the drivers for that?

Hello seancahoon,

If the Network adapters were installed from factory, the best source to obtain drivers is the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support. OEM adapters may have customizations and using the drivers from the manufacturer is recommended. The drivers available from Intel Download Center work fine in most cases, but are considered generic versions.

1. For your convenience, here is the manufacturer's download page for the Asus Zenbook UX305:

https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS_ZENBOOK_UX305/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ASUS_ZENBOOK_UX305/HelpDesk_Download/

2. As second option, you can manually download drivers and software for Intel devices from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ Intel® Download Center. You will need the type and model of the adapter, as well as the Operating System version.

3. If you have internet access in the PC, you can also use http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu Intel® Driver Update Utility. This will detect which driver updates are relevant to your computer, and then helps you install them.

Hi

Do you know if I need to install all the drives for the wirless adapter or just the most recent?

Since you mentioned that the device drivers were deleted, you should be able to install the most recent driver without problems.

So the Ausus Website says "update" by the files.

If my driver has been deleted, is the update going to work, seeing that the base file has been deleted?

Thanks!

Hello seancahoon,

The installer should contain all the driver components for a clean install as well as a driver update. Please download and install the most recent wireless driver and let us know the results.
