Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:
- What is the complete model of your Wireless controller?
- What is the complete brand and model of your laptop?
- Can you share a screenshot of the issue?
- Can you also tell me why are you updating the driver? Are you having some issues?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Thank you for the update.
For me to get the model of the wireless controller and other specification of your system so that I can provide the latest driver to install, kindly help generate the SUU logs of your system. Please refer to the link below on how to generate the logs:

The diagnostic file is attached.
I have also attached a word file showing when warning occured.
It also contains - when the graphics driver was installed it also lost my desktop link icons. Any ideas how to get them back would be appreciated?
Many thanks

Hello grahamleigh4,
Thank you for the update.
I reviewed the SSU logs and I found out that your Bluetooth driver is version 10.0.22621.2506.
Going back to your question of you can update to version 23.100.1.17? I suggest yes to get the latest driver.
Please tell me also if aside from the driver update, are you also having issues with your Bluetooth and wireless controller?
Let me also share below the latest Wireless and Bluetooth driver from Intel below:
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

Apologies for missing the original thread - it's very long ;o). I will update driver. The question purely came from the update driver assistant. Bluetooth, as is, is working.
One last unrelated question. The assistant also updated my graphics drivers, but I lost about 8 desktop icons. They are now just the 'generic neutral' icons. I did send you a screenshot of this previously in this thread. Is there a way to get them back please?
Thanks
Graham

Hello grahamleigh4,
Thank you for the update.
And I am glad that the issue is now resolved.
Since the issue i snow fixed, I need to close this inquiry.
If you need further assistance, please post a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
And for the other issue which is 8 "desktop icons". Please create a separate thread for this so that we can address it also.
Thank you and have a great day.
Best regards,
