While I was placing the back case back onto my laptop, the white "aux" cable connecting to my wifi card got caught between it and may have been damaged. The connection the laptop has to my home wifi is now horrible, but the connection the laptop has to my phone's hotspot and wifi at McDonald's is fine.
Is it damaged, and if so, how would I go about replacing it?

Talk to your laptop manufacturer. The antenna and cable are their products. We here know nothing about it.
