Can i install Intel Centrino N 6205 in place of WiFi Link 5100

Hi,

I have a laptop Dell Studio 1555 which was shipped with an Intel WiFi Link 5100 WLAN Card. Recently there have been issues with the card. Can you please guide me how to troubleshoot the hardware, to check whether the issue is with the device or the antenna(s) running in the laptop.

Also is it possible to replace the 5100 card with a Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 card?
