As the questions says, I want to use the ac 7260 to both connect to a wifi direct camera and to a wifi network to send the data of the camera to another device. Could I perform this simultaneous connection?

Hello potro777,

Thank you for your question.

To give you a short answer, yes. This adapter should be able to handle both connections at the same time without any problems.

The http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth-brief.pdf Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 is a 2x2 adapter, which means it can handle two outgoing and two incoming streams simultaneously.

If this resolves your question, or if you have further questions, please let us know.

Best regards,

Hi! thank you so much for your answer. I was in a trip, so did not have time to deal with this problem yet, I will get to it this weekend. Just for me to know, is there any special procedure that has to be made or I can just normally connect it?? ALso, I have a notebook that has an Intel Centrino (R) Wireless-N 2230. Is it also possible to make this dual connection with it, or only one or another?

Thank you!

Hello potro777,

It's quite alright, don't worry.

The http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/centrino-wireless-n-2230-brief.pdf Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 is also a 2x2 adapter, and it does support WiFi Direct as well.

While no configuration changes will need to be made to either adapter, depending on your operating system, you may need a third party app to handle the file transfer itself (Such as http://superbe.am/ SuperBeam*, https://shareitdownloadapp.com/ SHAREit*, etc).
