Hello black_cat1,

I understand that you are getting issues installing the latest bluetooth driver.

Regarding this, I will need more information of your system. Please provide me with an Intel ® System Support Utility report. This report can be generated from our tool, you can refer to the link below so you can download it:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

Make sure to attach the created report to this thread. Also, I would like to mention that this problem could be addressed by manually installing the driver; however, I will need more information of your system so we can find the best driver.

Regards,

Hello black_cat1,

Thank you for your response.

After analyzing the data you have provided me with, I was able to tell that in fact you do have the latest Bluetooth driver version for Windows* 7. Nevertheless, I want to make sure that it is true, please check with the Intel ® Driver & Support Assistant one more time and see if there is any update available, if so, please follow the steps below:

1 - Download the latest Bluetooth driver by accessing the link below:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27864/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-?product=75439 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27864/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-?product=75439

2 - Disconnect the computer from the internet.

3 - Go to device manager and locate the "Bluetooth" tab.

4 - Right-click on "Intel(R) wireless" under Bluetooth and select the option "Uninstall". Make sure to select the option "Delete the driver software for this device" if applicable.

5 - Restart the computer and once it is back up, run the installer downloaded back in step 1.

6 - Once completed, reboot the computer once more and connect to the internet. Check the Intel ® Driver & Support Assistant to see if the update still appears or not.

I hope this help.

Hi David,

Unfortunately, it did not work.

In Device Manager, it showed BT option like this:

After I disconnected and uninstalled it, the driver would be automatically reinstalled again after reboot:

And when I run the setup, still got this error:

Hello black_cat1,

Thank you for your response.

Upon review of the information I can see that the problem still persists. Since the bluetooth* adapter shows as generic, we can try installing the one provided by the manufacturer of your system. Please refer to the link below, download and install the bluetooth driver provided there:

Hi David,

Thanks for the link. I was quite surprise that Intel assistant recognized my BT driver as Intel.

It looks like my issue is solved.

Thank you very much.
