Centrino Wireless-N 2230 bluetooth broken (can't stream incoming audio)

I recently upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Technical Preview, now my Centrino Wireless-N 2230 bluetooth can't accept incoming audio from my phone (the option simply isn't on my phone anymore), so I can no longer stream music and general audio to my computer. Everything else seems to be fine.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried modifying installers, forcing "compatibility" to older versions of the OS... nothing has worked. The closest I've gotten was installing old bluetooth software from Atheros, which allowed the computer to connect and display the currently playing audio title on screen and remotely control the device, yet no audio was actually played back.... this is absolutely silly because I know for a fact this machine does not have any Atheros hardware.

The services offered by my phone at the moment are: Advanced Audio, Drivers for HID, Handsfree Telephony Gateway, Remote Control, Remotely Controllable Device.

In device manager "GAP Service", "GATT Server" and a "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" (which is actually a Bluetooth Audio, btmaud.inf related thing which for god knows what reason, doesn't get drivers installed by default) are missing drivers to operate. All the bluetooth service related drivers seem to be the default MS ones from 2006 (except the two aux ones shown).

It seems mediasrv.exe and related services are not being installed at all, even though it's within the setup files.

Hi Lorin, as far as I can see no information has yet been made public in regards of Windows* 10 compatibility with Intel wireless adapters; however, it is very possible that the Microsoft* inbox drivers will be the best way to go in the near future as this operating system is being developed and while we get information posted on our website.

I recommend you checking the following websites periodically for future updates:
