Debian 12 Missing Firmware on an HP Envy x360 2in1 155u

While going through the Debian 12 Graphical installation process, I have came across an error.

While detecting network hardware it says that i am "Missing firmware files" and that they are "intel/sof-ipc4/mtl/sof-mtl.ri" i can continue without these by not loading missing firmware.

after that it takes me to a page that says there is no ethernet card detected. this laptop from what i can tell does not have a ethernet card, so i click "no ethernet card"

after this it gives me another error

"no network interface was detected"

after i press continue

it allows me to continue the installation process, letting choose a host name and password, partition disks and install the base system.

after all of that is done im met with the network mirror section, here is where im met with more errors

i choose that i want to use a network mirror for faster downloads and what not. so i go through and choose what i found to be the current Debian 12.6 network mirror which is "ftp.us.debian.org"

i leave the HTTP proxy blank because i dont need that

then i get an error "Bad archive mirror"

This is because i am not connected to a network, because i dont have an ethernet card

and it wont recognize that

im not sure what to do.

Can you try to access your motherboard's BIOS or UEFI settings and then look for the Network Adapter option and ensure it's set to Enabled. Save your changes and restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
