If I upgrade my Acer Aspire One WiFi to Intel 4965AGN will I lose my Network Adapter Function?

If I replace the WiFi Card in my Acer Aspire One AOA150 Netbook with the Intel 4965AGN... will I lose functionality of my Network Adapter?

Note that the Intel(R) WiFi Link 4965 adapter is meant to be professionally installed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technicians on certified systems only.

Please note that these adapters are not meant to be sold separately, your system must be compliant with the required FCC certifications in compliance with the International Special Committee for Radio Interference standards for radiated and conducted electromagnetic interference.

hmmm... let's see... so i guess what you're really saying here is that you don't know the answer to my question. If you don't know the answer, why bother responding at all? Do you mean to tell me that you have no experience or knowledge of whether or not the 4965AGN will work properly in an Acer Aspire One Netbook? You must Note that Acer is the Number One (# 1) Notebook Manufacturer in the World. Should I be concerned whether or not ACER, who has sold about a billion of these netbooks, has made my specific one FCC Compliant?

Should I wonder whether or not there's a "lock" on anything in my ACER Netbook. ACER doesn't think so, nor do ACER Users anywhere. I have to believe a huge gigantic corporation like Intel would have that data as well. You should Note that, after almost twenty years of working with computers in general, and reading thousands of technical articles, and browsed many, many popular forums, and "community" boards... I've yet to come across such a "lock"... nor have I read any instruction, anywhere, that says anything about anything being locked anywhere. Do You have any equipment that has such "locks" and if so, do you have documentation to support your claim? Maybe that'll be the next question I post: "Does your computer have a diabolical "lock" on any device installed within, that will prevent you from Upgrading it?".

Living Upstate New York, USA... do I really need to be concerned about this, with the adapter I purchased, the Intel 4965AGN? Correct me if I'm wrong but, wouldn't Intel, prior to manufacturing such a device, ensure that it met regulatory approval for a popular region in The United States of America.

Enough already... jeeze... If you can't answer the question posted or be of any Help whatsoever, then please mind your own business. Intel should be embarrassed with your response. I hope my response at least discourages you from annoying someone else... and in that, I at least feel like, with my resonse, I'm being helpful. Don't bother to respond... I'll be visiting other Professional Community Boards for answers to my questions from now on.
