Install WiFi offline on NUC desktop.

Is it possible to install WiFi on a NUC (NUC7i5BN) without internet connection?

I have only access to WiFi not to network cable.

Using Win10 have "WiFi_21.50.1_Driver64_Win10.exe".

Driver demands "Microsoft .NET framework".

Installation of .NET fails due to being offline.

Thank you for the reply.

Sorry I might not have been clear describing the problem.

I installed win10 using an old ISO image.

Therefor there was no wi-fi visible after installation.

Not even after installation of wi-fi driver.

After moving laptop to a place with network wire I manage to run all the windows upgrades.

After that it was possible to connect to a wi-fi network.

1. Sure, you can connect to internet using Wifi adapter on your NUC:

2. Open Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.  Then click Wi-Fi On (on right panel).

3. Next. click on "Show available networks" and connect to your Access Point/ Router. You may use also Internet connection from your mobile phone, when setting ON the Mobile Hotspot, however this is a metered connection.

3. Before starting the Wi-Fi in addition to installing the WiFi driver, you should install the Bluetooth Driver.

Hi Christer,

Next time when you are installing Windows 10, prepare installation USB, using Microsoft Media Creation Tool. Installing Windows from an old  ISO file may lead to unexpected effects. Please visit this site.
