Hello Intel Community,
I am experiencing an issue with the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) on my Dell Latitude 5300 2-in-1 running Windows 11 Pro (version 23H2, build 10.0.22631). The tool successfully detects that the driver for the "Network Controller" is missing and suggests the installation of the "Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11".
However, despite following the installation process, the driver installation fails as shown in the attached screenshot. After the installation attempts, the Intel® DSA scans my system again and still reports the driver as missing, indicating a failure.
System Details:
- BIOS Version: 1.31.0 (dated 2024-04-09)
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-8365U CPU @ 1.60GHz
- Graphics: Intel® UHD Graphics 620
- Memory: 16 GB
- Storage: PC401 NVMe SK hynix 256GB
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (64-bit)
- Network Controller ID:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DF0&SUBSYS_40308086&REV_30\3&11583659&0&A3
Issue Summary:
- The Intel® DSA detects the missing driver.
- Installation of the "Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers" fails as per the Intel® DSA install history.
- The system continues to show "Network Controller" instead of the correct adapter name, indicating the driver is not installed properly.
Actions Taken:
- Attempted to install the driver multiple times, but the issue persists.
- Attached is a screenshot showing the details of the failure and system configuration.
Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance on how to successfully install the driver or troubleshoot the failed installation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
