Hello rs7921,

It's important to note that the drivers provided in our download center are generic versions. Our recommendation is that whenever possible, to use the version provided by your OEM. This is the only version that takes into account changes and customizations made when the adapter was integrated into your system.

In order to better assist you, we would like to know the following:

- What operating system are you using?

- Are you able to connect to other networks?

- Do other computers have the same problem connecting to your hotspot?

- Do you receive any error messages, or does the network simply disconnect?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,

Carlos A.

rs7921,

Please remember that wireless passwords are case sensitive. You can try changing the wireless password for your hotspot, and then try to connect again.

However, in order to provide a more accurate response we would like to have the following information:

- What operating system are you using?

- Are you able to connect to other networks?

- Do other computers have the same problem connecting to your hotspot?

- Do you receive any error messages, or does the network simply disconnect?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,

rs7921,

It's possible that an error may have occurred when creating the wireless profile for your hotspot. We can delete this profile (make your computer forget this network), and then connect again.

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.

2. Type: netsh wlan delete profile name=*

3. Close Command Prompt, connect to your hotspot again.

If this doesn't work, you may need to perform a clean installation of your wireless drivers. You will lose wireless connectivity while doing this, so it's important to download and save the wireless driver to an easy to find location before beginning this troubleshooting.

We recommend using the latest drivers provided by your computer manufacturer:

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=4Y1DP http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=4Y1DP

Alternatively, you may use our latest generic drivers:

a. Press Windows* Key + R to open the run box. Type Cleanmgr.exe. Press OK.

b. Select the main drive, usually C:\.

3. Remove hidden folders

a. Go to %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\ (you can type this in the run box)

b. Delete the Intel® folder.

4. Download and install your chosen version of the Intel® PROSet Wireless Software and Drivers.

a. Choose to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005564.html Customize.

b. Select all options available.

5. Connect to your Hotspot.

Please let us know if this helps.
