No, you cannot switch cards.
Only the OEM can modify/replace these cards:

And, if you did it yourself, you could have problems:

As per the links that Doc provided, end users are not authorized to upgrade or install wireless hardware. This is due to different regulations and laws, and depending on your country this might even be illegal.
Regrettably, your computer manufacturer (ASUS*) did not publicly provide a hardware compatibility list:

Our recommendation is to always contact your computer's manufacturer to request a pre-approved list, and if possible, to purchase your new wireless adapter directly from them to avoid any hardware compatibility issues.
If they're not able to provide such list and you decide to go ahead and purchase the adapter all the same, bear in mind that it may or may not fully work. We do not provide support for custom integrations.
That being said, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 comes in two different form factors: M.2 2230 (22 mm by 30 mm), and M.2 1216 (12 mm by 16 mm). It also comes in three different models (see end of product brief). All of this makes wireless compatibility a bit complicated, which is why the laptop's OEM is your best resource.
