Intel AC 7260 Bluetooth error code 43 using 19.11.1639 under W10 x64

I was having rather serious problems with the Wifi driver for another brand of 802.11ac/Bluetooth card.

As I had Intel 7260AC on hand I installed that instead.

WiFi worked fine, but Bluetooth driver fails shortly after installation with error code 43, similarly after reboot.

Current Windows 10 x64 14393.576 default driver also had the same issue.

Computer is Dell Precision M6800

Thanks

Dave

Hello Dave,

As we understand, Bluetooth* is not working after you replaced the built in wireless adapter in your PC with an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.

In this case, we advise you to check with Dell Support, since they are best resource to address this situation. Please keep in mind that custom integrations are not supported by Intel since this may lead to installation errors, connection issues, software error messages, and in some cases it may even be illegal.

Intel does not recommend end users install or upgrade the various Intel® Wireless Adapter. You should always contact the Computer Manufacturer or its authorized representative to check which adapters are supported by your PC and have it replaced with them whenever possible.

In our best effort, we checked about the error you reported, and it may be a compatibility problem, or that the Bluetooth* software/drivers are not working correctly. A clean installation of the driver may help, you can do this by uninstalling Intel® Wireless Bluetooth Software from Windows* Programs, then go to Device Manager and uninstall and delete the Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® driver. Also, make sure you uninstall any software and drivers from your older Bluetooth* adapter. After all previous components are removed, install the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26419/Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-Software-for-Windows-10 Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Software for Windows® 10.

Hello Dave,

As we mentioned before, the main recommendation is to contacthttp://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04 Dell* Support so they can determine if the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 is compatible with your PC. And if it is, what is the best way to perform the replacement.

Also, you may check with them and perform a BIOS update for your PC.

From our end, we advise to do a clean installation of the Bluetooth drivers by using these steps:

1. Download and save https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26419/Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-Software-for-Windows-10?product=75439 Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Software for Windows® 10 [version 19.11.1639]

2. Go to Control Panel, Programs, and uninstall the Intel® Wireless Bluetooth Software.

3. Check Device Manager - Bluetooth, if the Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® driver is installed, proceed to uninstall and delete it.

4. Remove any software or drivers from your old Bluetooth* adapter as recommended by the OEM support.

5. After the Bluetooth software is removed, you can install the driver you downloaded before.

Regards,

Jonathan.
