Intel Centrino WiMax 6150 Drivers being deleted on restart

I have a HP Pavilion dm4-3055dx laptop which came with the Intel Centrino WiMax 6150 wireless N network card. Lately it has randomly stopped working. The wifi button on the taskbar simply shows "No connection are available". I have tried downloading the latest drivers for the device from this computer and installing them on the laptop and that has usually worked. However, in the last few days, when I turn on the computer and the drivers are gone, running the install file for the drivers has also stopped working. I am beginning to fear that it might be the network card itself that is malfunctioning. If anyone else has had this problem and knows the solution, please let me know. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Note: I have windows 7.

Hello Probotector,

I am sorry to know about this issue.

Please go to Device Manager in Control Panel and find the Intel® Centrino Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150. Then, right click on it and select uninstall, the adapter should go away. You may or may not delete the driver software, it is probably a good idea to do so just for troubleshooting but you will need to reinstall the driver if you check the box.

After that just restart your system and the driver will be reinstalled automatically (if you did not check the box, otherwise it may appear as generic "network adapter" or "unknown device").

Continue using the wireless adapter normally. If you see the wireless adapter disappearing by itself from device manager or not appearing at all after a system reboot, then it is most likely a hardware problem and you will need to contact your system manufacturer so they can verify the integration or replace the adapter.

Hi, Thanks for the help. However, it seems that I still need to install the latest drivers for the network card. When I go on the Intel website's download center to get the drivers for the Intel Centrino WiMax 6150 card, it says "The page was not found" therefore I can not download the drivers. If you could tell me an alternate way to download those drivers that would be great. Thanks again.

If you get the "page not found" from downloadcenter try again and do not narrow by operating system or download type, just scroll down until you find the correct file; however, I was able to narrow my selection and get to the drivers. I am adding direct download links below.

If the issue persists you may need to contact the system manufacturer since the issue could be related to the radio enabling switch, a custom driver or to a hardware fault.
