Intel Centrino Wireless-N105, several versions?

Dear all,

I use in an industrial platform an Intel Centrino Wireless-N105.

I have just received a new batch of these boards and they are not recognized by my OS (WES9). The only difference I can see is former boards were 105BNH and new one are 105BNHU.

Is there a compatibility issue? Should I find a new driver?

Thank you very much for your help.

Nicolas Houarche.

Hello Houarche,

The Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 105 and other wireless adapters are meant to be integrated by OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) into their systems. If you are a developer, we would advise you to obtain support using the designated channels, normally engaged through the Authorized sales representative.

The difference you mention should be in the FCC ID or The IC ID, this differentiates the regulatory compliance of the Generic SKU and the OEM shared SKU, as you can see from the document:

They actually have the same model number 105BNHMW, and use the same drivers:

If one of the adapter types is not detected in the same systems where the other works well, then it is possible that it is "locked" for specific wireless adapters, or that the SKU you are using does not meet the regulatory compliance required by the computer.
