Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 | Weak to No WiFi

Hello, I am hoping I could get some suggestions. I just bought a Cyberpower gaming PC running Windows 11 and the Wi-Fi using the Intel 3168 is very weak. Sometimes it won’t connect at all. I know interference and distance are not issues as multiple other devices connect just fine and easily get speed test results over 150mbps. I have tried 2.4 and 5 ghz networks and my phone’s hotspot, all with essentially the same results. I have..

-Reset PC and modem/router
-Used Windows to scan for driver updates
-uninstalled adaptor from device manager, reinstalled, and reset PC

I’m not sure what other details would be helpful, but I am out of ideas. The only thing I know is all things point to the new PC/Intel wireless adaptor. Thanks for any input.

Just a comment, the 3168 is a pretty old WiFi card to be bundled in a truly 'new' PC. Regardless, it sounds suspiciously like there is an issue with the WiFi antennas. The only way to be sure is to see if (a) the antennas wires for 2.4GHz and 5GHz are BOTH properly plugged into the Wireless-AC 3168 card and (b) the external antennas are properly connected to the rear of the PC.
