Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Code 10 , latest drivers and every version of the driver

Got several of these cards last week and having issues with them still.

The laptops are toshiba l855 s5372, Win 8.1 64bit on 3 of them, and Win 8 64bit on the last one. Upgraded from the centrino n 6235 on all of them.

Tried the latest driver, doesn't work.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Have tried the following versions, believe that is all the versions available on the site.

16.1.1.3

16.1.5.2

16.10.0.5

17.0.0.34

17.0.5.8

17.0.6.1

17.1.0.19

None of the drivers work for either the win 8 or 8.1 machines.

A user in the thread , is having a similar issue, was able to get the card working under ubuntu but not windows.

All the cards were bought new. Also one was bought from another source to see if it would work or give a code 10. That is my next step tomorrow morning. Wasted too many hours trying to find a solution for this problem.

Have you checked with Toshiba to see if the 7260 has been tested to work in your laptop?

If the 7260 wireless adapter is supported on your system, are there any requirements from Toshiba, like a BIOS update or some settings to configure to enable the adapter?

Have you also installed Bluetooth software & drivers or just the wireless (Wi-Fi) software & drivers? If not, I'd suggest going to Toshiba's support/downloads site and getting the latest Bluetooth drivers and installing the Bluetooth drivers. If you can't find any Bluetooth drivers on Toshiba's support site, you might try one of these generic versions on our download center site: 1st try: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23761&lang=eng BT_17.0.1401.03_e164.exe or 2nd try: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23999&lang=eng BT_17.0.1405.02_e164.exe. This morning had the card work on the laptop when it was running ubuntu. The issue is the windows driver, will not work with win8 or 8.1. Up to date on all the bios, windows updates, etc...

Toshiba forums have no useful information. Seen no posts anywhere regarding anyone else trying it on this laptop model.

For the software tried all the software with and without bluetooth available that toshiba offers on their site, as well as this site.

Have tried playing around with various driver settings and bios ones, nothing works. Any ideas?

Did you confirm with Toshiba that the 7260ac adapter will even work with your laptops? The problem may involve more than just a Windows driver install or update. Did your laptops ever have a code 10 error with the 6235 adapter running a Windows OS?

The 7260ac works under ubuntu running on the same laptop. So the hardware side is fine, the laptop can find and use the wifi card. The 6235 cards did not have any error codes or any issues, swapped out the original card with the 6235, and used the drivers from this site, wifi worked.

Ended up returning the 7260s and swapping them for bcm4352 cards. AC up and running.
