Intel PROSet/Wireless Enterprise Software for WIndows 10. Is it available to control adapters like the Windows 7 implementation? We are planning our upgrade and need support.

We are using the Intel PROSet/Wireless Enterprise Software and it is very useful. How to get the same implementation for adapter preference on Windows 10? The current message is that is only available in Windows 7.

In Windows® 10, most of the wireless features are controlled at the OS level for enhanced security. The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 adapter does not have the advanced option to "Disable upon wired connection". Can Intel provide support on disabling the wireless adapter when docking? Is there a preferred way to do this in Windows 10 with the Intel 7265 Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 adapter?

The feature you're referring to is called http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005972.html Adapter Switching. And in previous versions of Windows* it was accessed using the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility. However Windows® 10 does not allow third party tools to manage these features.

Also in some systems, you may be able to change the adapter priority directly from the BIOS. If that option is available, it would be the preferred method. However you would need to check with your computer manufacturer for confirmation or more information.
