Hello,
I was hoping for a little assistance with a silent install of Proset Software V15.8. I am attempting to create a Silent XML install that will install the Intel Proset software in the follow way.
Wifi Driver and Enterprise software only
Xpincontrol=true
HideTrayIcon=true
HIdeTaskTrayOOBE=true
If someone could give me a working example of a XML file I would greatly appreciate it

Joe_intel,
Thank you for your reply. The links were helpful in selecting which packages will be installed, but I do not see any information on how to set preferences such as Xpincontrol=true, HideTrayIcon=true, IdeTaskTrayOOBE=true.
Am I just missing that information in the links you provided?

Rick74,
Which operating systems will you be deploying PROSet to? The commands will differ slightly depending on the OS. If you are using Windows* 7 the following should work. Make sure to follow the upper/lower case settings as those are important. You may also want to search Microsoft's site as they should have additional examples.
Silent
HIDETRAYICON=TRUE HIDETASKTRAYOOBE=TRUE
Thanks,
IleneK

Hi,
For me the Xpincontrol=true does not work .
You can disable the intel pro utility after the installation and use the windows utility
Via registry:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Intel\Wireless\GuiConfiguration\Proset7Mode
Value=0
