Hi Everyone

Heres hoping someone may be able to help...

I have a new DELL 15XPS15S which is fitted with the above network adapter. I also have a NETGEAR N600 Dual Band Gigabit (DGND3700).

My laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate and is connected to Windows SBS2011 Domain.

I am trying to understand how I can improve the wireless connection speed from 54Mbps to the 300Mbps that both devices are capable of running at.

I cannot find any configuration settings with Windows that will allow me to adjust. Any ideas?

  • The following adapter settings can be found under the Advanced menu on Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software. Your settings should match the values below. These default settings are for Intel® wireless adapters supporting 802.11n.
PropertyValue802.11n channel width for band 2.4Auto (not in 20 MHz only)802.11n channel width for band 5.2Auto (not in 20 MHz only)802.11n modeEnabledFat channel intolerantDisabledRoaming aggressivenessMedium (or less)Throughput enhancementDisabledTransmit powerHighestWireless mode802.11a/b/g

"802.11n channel width for band 5.2" doesn't exist for me.
