Hi,

The WiFi card works for a day or so (jus' a few mins/hours sometimes), only when the card is uninstalled and system restarted followed by an driver update.

I have followed all the steps in the post, https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Wifi-driver-AX201-not-working/m-p/1377626 , as said earlier this solved the problem only for a day or so.

And, recently when i tried to update the WiFi driver downloaded from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351 , got this error,

Answering Scott's questions as suggested in https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Wifi-driver-AX201-not-working/m-p/1377626

  • Did you install the Chipset Device Software package before any other Intel driver packages? - YES
  • Have you tried following the process that I laid out above? - YES
  • What is the architecture of your system? Laptop? Desktop? - Laptop

Thanks,

Hello ax201_user,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I am sorry you are having issues with your Intel wireless card. I will be glad to help you.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Is the wireless card pre-installed or have you recently added it to your laptop?
  • Did the issue start after any hardware change or driver/OS update?

Hi Steven,

1) The wireless card came pre-installed with the laptop, worked well for about 14 months with no issues.

2) No hardware changes made / driver update was not done /  not sure if the problem started with an OS update.

Thanks,

Thank you for the information provided.

If you have already followed all the steps on the article Code 10 or Code 43 Errors in Device Manager for Bluetooth® or Wireless (Wi-Fi) Devices (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000031150/wireless/wireless-software.html), our best recommendation is to contact the laptop manufacturer (OEM), as it we cannot discard a hardware issue.

Contact OEM: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-intel.html?tab=system-manufacturers

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
