Just installed a unifi U6-pro access point. Updated it to the latest firmware, however my dell laptop Latitude 5420 with the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160Mhz adaptor refuses to connect to the Access Point. Instead it connects to an Access Point far away. Despite the unifi Access Point is meters closer by.
I have tried already the following things:
- Uninstalled / reinstalled the drivers
- Reinstalled the Dell drivers (from the Dell website)
- Reinstalled the Intel drivers (from the intel website)
- Switched the AX settings off, switched it to ac, switched it to n - all not working
- Changed the bandwidth on the AP to 20Mhz, to 40Mhz to 80Mhz - nothing helped
All other devices are connecting fine: 2 apple iphones, 1 apple ipad, all connecting over WiFi 6 and to the Access Point. I am really at a loss here why the intel card refuses to connect?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I received a quick response on the community forum of Unifi and the solution is to switch off WPA3. Once that is switched off it connected properly to the Unifi U6-Pro Access Point.
