Hello -
I am looking to install a new wireless card on my laptop and was wondering if the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 is compatible with MSI GT72S 6QE Dominator laptop. The laptop is running a 6th Gen Skylake GTX980M. Many thanks for your help!

You will need to ask MSI regarding this support/compatibility.
There are regulatory requirements:

Hello jp1450,
Thanks for your interest in our products.
As was mentioned by Al Hill, we recommend to https://www.msi.com/about/contact-us contact your system OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to find what are the authorized or recommended wireless card replacements for it.
Just like any other device, not all wireless adapters are physically and electrically compatible with all systems, which may lead to compatibility issues.
NOTE: Links to third party sites are being offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel of the content, products, or services offered there.
Best regards,
Eugenio F.
