Hello passion4tech,

We understand that you're having problems uninstalling your wireless driver from the device manager.

In order for us to help you, we would like the following:

- Are you receiving any type of error messages? Please share the exact error or a screenshot with us.

- Please download and run our https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility System Support Utility. Once this software has scanned your system, you will be able to save the results to an .xml file.

Please share these files with us by switching over to the advanced editor mode when replying. This option will be found at the top right of the reply box, and will enable the option for you to attach files.

One thing that we would like to point out is that some versions of Windows* won't allow you to completely remove all drivers. If you're using Windows® 10, for example, you will be able to uninstall your OEM drivers, but then Windows* will automatically install it's plug-n-play version in their place. If this is the case, don't worry, those drivers won't generally get in the way of performing a clean installation. For more information on this, or how to disable this behavior, you may find the following links helpful:

Hello passion4tech,

This is the way that Windows® 10 works. Once you remove the OEM or Intel® drivers, it will automatically install the built-in (inbox) driver. This driver is embedded into your operating system through Windows* Update and is provided by Microsoft*, not by us.

In order to disable this behavior, you will need to follow one of the two guides previously provided:

- https://www.howtogeek.com/263851/how-to-prevent-windows-from-automatically-updating-specific-drivers/ How to Prevent Windows* from Automatically Updating Specific Drivers.

- https://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/ How to Uninstall and Block Updates and Drivers on Windows® 10 (scroll down to the "Prevent a Driver or Update From Being Installed from Windows* Update" heading).

NOTE: Any links provided for third party tools or sites are offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel® of the content, products, or services offered there. We do not offer support for any third party tool mentioned here.

Please keep in mind that once you've reached the inbox driver, you should be able to restart the computer and then proceed to install the latest OEM or Intel® Generic drivers without any issue.

Best regards,

Carlos A.
