Intel dual band wireless-AC 7260 dropping connection

I've been having this issue for a few days now. I will be browsing the internet, navigating to a new page and my computer will suddenly lose its connection to my WiFi network. My WiFi network has a hidden SSID, and when my computer loses connection to it, it will no longer appear in the list of networks, instead appearing as a "Hidden Network". In order to reconnect to it, I have to reset the network adapter manually. I have tried manually uninstalling the software, drivers, and device itself using device manager, and then rebooting and reinstalling the latest drivers, but that didn't seem to work. I have attached an SSU report and a WLAN report to assist in diagnostics.

Hello yhas,

As we understand, your system is showing sporadic wireless disconnections, and you have to reset the network adapter manually to recover. We checked the logs you provided and confirmed the events showing the disconnections, however, the adapter was working fine at the time the SSU log was retrieved. We noticed that the signal was a little low but functional.

Radio Type:"802.11n"

Receive Rate:"144.4 Mbps"

Signal Strength:"80%"

Transmit Rate:"144.4 Mbps"

Please keep in mind that this situation may be caused by external factors, if the computer is far away from the Access point, due to interference, problems in the antennas or other hardware components. We strongly recommend you to engage the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Support from your Computer Manufacturer as they should be the first source of your support for your PC and wireless adapter. We know you have tried some actions already, in our best effort would like to make sure you apply the following:

- Perform a https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Clean Installation of Wireless Drivers, using https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27849/Wireless-Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-10?v=t Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows® 10 version 20.60.0. Make sure you remove any 3rd party wireless software/drivers as well.

- Try placing the computer closer to the access point.

Let us know if there is a change in the behavior after these actions.

Regards,
