Is the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11AC wave 2, or wave1?

Is the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11AC wave 2, or wave1? I can't find any documentation that indicates, other than the 2014 date which indicates it came out prior to wave 2 being ratified.

Hello techinthewoods,

The Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is considered an 802.11ac Wave 1 device. It was released in 2014, a couple years before 802.11ac Wave 2 standard was certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

 

We would like to mention that the https://ark.intel.com/products/94150/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-8265 Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 is the first of our adapters that is Wave 2 compliant, you might want to check with the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer about models supporting this adapter.
