Have an Alienware M18 R2 with the I9-14900 and have installed all the Intel Drivers for the chipset that I could find but cannot get the E5000 to work. The Wifi works just fine (BE1750) on all bands even prior to me installing the drivers I did find. Can someone point me in the right direction? The Ethernet works just fine under Windows 11, so no hardware issues.

Hello JimmyTexas,
Thank you for your efforts in updating the kernel. I want to set the expectation that the Killer E5000 may not be supported on the Linux Operating System. However, I will investigate this further and provide you with an update soon.
Best regards,

It appears that Intel has taken the "hands off" I cannot help you stance on this. Below is the copy that was sent direct to me by Intel. It seems I may have to try the RealTek drivers or wait for kernel 6.15 (which is when support for the Intel version of the E5000 is possibly going to hit).

Hi JimmyTexas,
Let me provide some more information regarding this concern. First, please check this link for Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Linux*, and review the Important Notice on the website. According to the "Important Notice":
- Linux* OS, software, and hardware not officially endorsed by your PC may affect performance and stability. We recommend consulting with your PC manufacturer or Linux* OS distributor to ensure compatibility and functionality with Intel wireless products.
- The Intel wireless device requires firmware to operate. Firmware usually ships with your Linux* OS distribution, or you can download it from above links, or from Firmware git tree. Each download provides firmware under its own License.)
This is reason why I recommend to check the system compatibility with Linux OS* to ensure better performance and stability. Even though this is for wireless, it also applies to the Ethernet issue raised in this thread. While some of you may already be aware of this, I still highly recommend contacting your OEM for further verification.
Moreover, if Linux 6.15, released in late March, still presents the issue, we recommend contacting the OEM and sharing the OEM ticket number with us, especially if your system was pre-installed with the Killer E5000, which supports Linux OS and the kernel version.
Best regards,
Dhanniel M.

Hi Jimmy and all,
thank's for all your work and research.
Here just to to tell that on my alienware m18 R2 i just updated the kernel of my Ubuntu 24.04 to the 6.15.2-061502-generic.
And without any other action the lan is now working.
Bye and thanks again
