I've been getting lag spikes on my computer with this wireless card ever since I got it, and have yet to find a solution
I have yet to find a solution, but I am definitely sure its on my computer's end as my laptop with a different wireless card has no lag spikes whatsoever.
Things I've tried:
Changing wireless channels on router
Changing roaming aggressiveness
Disabling/Enabling Throughput Booster
Changing HT Mode to HT
Disabling the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
Reinstalling drivers by uninstalling, then rebooting
Updating drivers with the IT version
Enabling/Disabling U-APSD support
Changing Channel Width for 5.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz
Changing preferred band
Fixing Windows 10 update settings

We understand that you are getting ping spikes in your system and they persist after trying multiple actions. Keep in mind that minor ping spikes are normal, however, they are worth to look into if they affect the normal usage of your computer.
Here are some other actions you can try, as they have helped other users in this situation:

Turned off the windows 10 settings as shown in the articles, still getting lag spikes. For the Scanwhenassociated fix, I don't see that value in the same thing as the "AdapterModel" value, so that fix wouldn't work.
Anything else I can do? Getting fairly frustrated with this.
Please let us know if you have received any errors or problems in your system, ping spikes normally happen, and 70 ms may be expected in some environments.

- Was this adapter built from factory with your PC? or is it a custom upgrade?

We reviewed the new information you sent and here are some pointers you can check:
- Go the Advanced Driver settings of the AC 8260 in Device Manager and set the following:
HT Mode: HT Mode
- Make sure that the Wireless antenna is in a high location, clear from any possible sources of interference.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information:
1. Other than the ping results, are you having any errors or warnings in the system about wireless connectivity?
2. We noticed that you have a Desktop system and your motherboard does not have native WiFi. Please let us know the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) brand and model of the Wireless adapter you are using, since Intel does not manufacturer Desktop versions of the AC 8260.
-Did the HT mode, small difference. Still getting the lag spikes.
-Moved wireless antenna up, down, everywhere. Still getting the lag spikes.
-I keep the router at its current firmware because I was told by Belkin support staff that it was more steady and constant compared to the newer ones. (before, the newer firmware would make ALL my devices lag out)

As we mentioned before, the ping results you are seeing are expected. This is due to the WiFi Background Scanning that is a normal behavior of WiFi devices.
We already performed different actions to improve connectivity; and 30 - 80 ms should not be an issue, furthermore, since you mentioned that you are not getting errors, warnings nor network disconnections.
Some users have been able to prevent background scans by modifying the OS registry with methods like the "scanwhenassociated" change mentioned in the/message/246711# 246711 Previous Thread. you can find more information about this and other possible fixes in that thread or in external websites. It is worth to mention that these fall out of our scope since they interfere with Roaming and reduce the capacity of detecting changes in the wireless networks.

After 5 days of testing, the "scanwhenassociated" and the WLAN AUTOCONFIG Restart solutions work. Every like 5 hours I have to do the restart of the WLAN AutoConfig and it makes the lag spikes less often. I might just find someway to get Ethernet.

Packet Coalescing: Disable
- Improved throughput by up to 40Mbps
- Improved latency by ~2ms
Tested with iperf3 and MTR the worst ping was 7ms over a day period with 60s intervals. I ran it for several days and it came back with worst latency 90ms but this can probably be ignored as it is a very long period with other factors like using the computer meanwhile.
I found 40MHz to be the best bandwidth to use. 80MHz increased throughput slightly but it was way more unstable and got packet loss occassionally.
