Hello,
I´m looking for the latest driver for the Intel dual band wireless-n 7260 for Windows 10 64bit. The official support pages are not available (404). It would be very nice if anyone could tell me a download link. (f.e. url )
Thanks and best regards,
Christian

I suggest that you install the drivers using clean install method. Here is a step-by-step process; follow it exactly:
- If you haven't already, download to your PC - but do not install just yet - the Bluetooth and Wireless driver packages. You can find the approrpiate driver installation files in my legacy driver share: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-j-tQ34BdSDv6y1BFsg?e=7gn50T.
- Most important! Disable Internet access. Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless. Keep disabled until told to re-enable. Note that this Wireless disable *must* be of type that will persist (stay disabled) across reboots.
- From the Apps & Features applet, check for instances of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Intel Wireless Bluetooth. If none, skip to Step 6.
- Uninstall each instance of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and/or Intel Wireless Bluetooth that is present. When prompted, choose "Discard Settings".
- Manually reboot your computer, keeping Internet access disabled throughout.
- From the Device Manager applet, check the Network Adapters section for an entry for Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and check the Bluetooth section for an entry for Intel Wireless Bluetooth that has an intel driver associated with it. If neither is the case, go forward to Step 10.
- Right click on the entry for Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and uninstall it, choosing (checkmark) Delete the driver software for this device.
- Right click on the entry for Intel Wireless Bluetooth and open its properties. If it has an Intel driver associated with it, then uninstall it, choosing to (checkmark) Delete the driver software for this device.
- Go back to Step 5.
- Install the downloaded Bluetooth driver package (my rule: always install Bluetooth first).
- Install the downloaded Wireless driver package.
- Manually shutdown and reboot your computer.
- Reenable Internet access. Restore Ethernet cable connection and/or reenable wireless.
- Test.
Note that it sometimes takes multiple uninstalls (and reboots) to clean out the old installations, so don't give up on the process until you hit, say, 10 reboots.
Hope this helps,

Hi Scott,
I also need the most recent update to the Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 wireless adapter. Could you send a link to me also? Would really appreciate it as my current version is not recognizing my new internet router with Wifi6.

Sigh! You are yet another user who is using the (completely idiotic default!) Threaded Display mode, rather than the Linear Display mode, and thus is missing the update posts that would have already provided you with the link to the drivers. Here is it, yet again...
Use this link: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-j-tQ34BdSDv6y1BFsg?e=7gn50T to access my archive. Subfolders provide the final driver packages that you can use with the named (Discontinued) Wireless adapters.
Hope this helps,

Can the "Accepted Solution" be changed from your January 8, 2023 post to your August 3, 2023 post instead?
Or is that also a "feature" of the Intel Community forum software?

Thanks, Scott, but unfortunately I couldn't access your archive by link provided. I used different browsers, but the result same. Sorry, I have no idea what mean Threaded Display mode or Linear Display mode. Is the driver 18.33.17.1 it's latest?

In theory, only the OP can select the Accepted Solution post. Everyone seems to forget that each conversation is really supposed to be to address one person's (the OP's) issue - and indeed the post selected did provide the solution for the OP. I will discuss this with the PTB and see whether a moderator can override the setting (there should be)...

What happens when you click on the link?
Yes, 18.33.17.1 is the version you should end up seeing in Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. If you have this already and are still having a problem, describe your problem in detail and we (the knowledgeable users) will see if we can puzzle it out.

When I click on the link appear the message that this page can not be opened, I have to check the internet connection and so on, but internet is good at this time. The problem on the driver is that it's dropping the signal offen, losing the connection. At those time there is no one wifi network is present my or neighbours, so sometimes it's recovering automatically after few minutes, or I have to press the troubleshooting button. Sometimes it's works, sometimes it's not. Before I had the same problem with my old internet provider, but I was spliting the signal in 2 bands, 2.4 and 5 GHz, so this 5 GHz band was doing the same, always was dropping signal, but 2.4 GHz was working with no issue. But this new Modem from Linksys has no option to do this kind of selection and I have no idea how to fix dropping signal problem. Sorry for my English, I trying to express as good as I can.

If you have the latest driver version already, then next question is whether a smartphone is (still) working when the PC sees no SSIDs.

Thanks for your attention Scott, but I haven't found the 18.33.17.1 driver version that I think is suitable for the Intel® Wireless 7260 Family, as shown in your WiFi_21.10.1_ReleaseNotes.pdf file.
Is it possible to use a different driver?

The 21.10.1 packages provide the 18.33.17.1 driver for the 7260 and 3160 series Wireless modules/cards. This is the last driver update that Intel released for these modules/cards. It provides (amongst other things) support for Windows 10 and interoperability with WiFi 6 Routers (this latter capability is what has drawn the most customers).
If your question is unrelated to this, then you need to enumerate what you are looking for.
...S
P.S. If you installed this package and you didn't see the 18.33.17.1 driver be installed, then you need to do a clean install. That is, with all Internet access disabled, delete the Bluetooth and Wireless drivers installed, reboot and then install the provided Bluetooth and Wireless driver packages.
