I am experiancing limited WiFi issue with AC 7265 adapter. It works fine when I connect to hotspot. However, when I start my laptop (HP Spectre x360 13-4011TU) then it shows wifi as connected and after some time it shows yellow triangle with message Limited wifi. I am able to connect to my router using another laptop/devices.

gr28,

There are a few thing you can do to improve your experience.

1 - Set the Power Plan to both plugged and on battery to Maximum Performance: Control Panel >> Hardware and Sounds >> Power Option >> Set the High Performance and apply to default settings.

2 - Check if Firewall and/or Antivirus configuration is not impacting on the connection.

3 - Check the Value of Transmit Power and make sure it is set to 5. Highiest.

4 - Try the solutions below.

gr28,

Is this wireless adapter the one installed by factory or did you replace the original one for this Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260?

If it is the one installed by factory, we recommend that you contact your computer manufactorer first to see if they have any possible updates that might resolve this issue as they modify the wireless adapter to meet their system requirements. For your convenience, here is the link to the manufacturer support: http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support

However, we would like to take this opportunity and inform you that Intel does support integration which is when the original wireless card is replaced. Please check these link for further information on this matter: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-011644.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade

Does this issue occur only when connected to your home network or does it occur when you connect to any network? On our best effort to assist you, we have found this with HP* that might help you resolve the limited access issue: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/Limited-Internet-Access-Windows-10/td-p/5193760 Limited Internet Access Windows 10 - HP Support Forum - 5193760

Hi gr28, could you try going to your router gateway and follow these steps,

1. connect to the router via ethernet and open cmd(command prompt).

2. Type in ipconfig to see your default gateway.

3. type in your default gateway in the adressbar of you browser(internet ecplorer, chrome, firefox, etc.)

4. Go to Home Network Configuration

5. Check the box next to Enable UPnP

6. Change IGMP from blocking mode to standard mode.

Let me know if this works out for you.
