M.2 7265WGN card not recognized by Intel NUC NUC5CPYH

Hello, I tried replacing the existing Wireless-AC 3165 card with this faster 2x2 AC card, but no luck. The card is not recognized in the bios or in windows. Bios says that the slot is not occupied, and the device doesn't show up in windows device manager at all to even get to the point to install drivers. I thought the new wifi card might be defective so I returned it and got another one but have the same issue. Thanks for your help and time! In between time I reinstalled the original M.2 3165 wifi card and its working fine but slow.

Hello systemofadonut,

Since the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is not recognized in the BIOS, nor the OS, please confirm the following:

- Make sure that the adapter is connected properly, as shown in the http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24956/a08/NUC5CPYH_NUC5PPYH_IntegrationGuide02.pdf Intel® NUC Kit NUC5CPYH NUC5PPYH Integration Guide.

- Update the BIOS of your NUC to the most recent version.

- In the integration guide, page 2, you will find a list of supported Wireless adapter for this NUC. As you can see, your computer does not support http://ark.intel.com/products/83635/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7265# @orderinghttp://ark.intel.com/products/83635/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7265# @ordering all models of the 7265 series. If the issue persists, we might need to engage support for your NUC kit.
