My wireless adapter is Wifi link 5100 agn. OS : Windows vista SP1

I am trying to use "my wifi" to let my ipod connect to the internet.

There is this note on current available Intel® PROSet/Wireless Basic Enterprise Software:

"The Intel® My WiFi Technology application is not supported for Windows Vista. This feature is available on Windows 7 only."

I found an driver of version 13.0.0.0 on google.

It support my wifi for 5100. I tried to use it to create a wireless network for my ipod.

I could ping the IP of my ipod successfully, but it just cannot download any web pages.

Is there a problem in "my wifi" for vista? Why is it removed ?

Some user said he use window 7 and "my wifi" only works after he updating the drivers to 13.4.0.0

I would like to use vista for now. Is it possible ? "My Wifi" in the new driver doesn't support vista.

I wonder should I update it and will it help?

This is the driver I am using => http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&changeLang=true&DwnldId=18205 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&changeLang=true&DwnldId=18205

Thank you

I had a 5100 AGN on my Vista 64-bit system and it did not support My WiFi Technology. Try reading...

I know it's not supported on vista in current versions.

But doesn't it supported in version 13.0.0.0? (befoe 13.1.1)

This is an old download page
