skyking711,

We understand you reset your Lenovo* laptop back to factory settings. In this circumstances, we recommend to try a clean installation of the drivers.

If this adapter is the one installed by factory, we recommend to use Lenovo's own drivers first and if after using their drivers you notice the issue still persists, then, as a second option, you can try our generic drivers found in our download center. For your convenience, here is how you can do to proceed with a clean installation.

1. Connect your computer to the Internet via an Ethernet cable.

2. Remove all current drivers for this adapter: Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and Uninstall "Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software", if it is installed. When prompted, choose the option to "Discard settings".

3.Reboot the PC or scan for hardware changes, check device manager and see if an older driver is detected and installed, repeat the actions to uninstall and delete it as well. Repeat this process until the OS does not allow deleting the driver, or until the controller shows as Unknown Device.

4. Next, install the Intel® Wireless driver. During the first steps of PROSet/Wireless installation, make sure to customize the installation and install all the 3 driver components.

5. For your convenience, here is a link to the drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24863/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-8-?product=75174 Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 8* version: 17.16.0

Please, let us know if this helped you to resolve this situation.
