Hi,
I have a Dell Studio 15 laptop with Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel i5 m430 processor and a PROSet Ultimate-N 6200 wireless adapter.
I would like to use Wireless Wake On LAN (WOWLAN). I know that the latest drivers have removed WOWLAN support.
What I don't know is why this feature was removed - can anyone explain? Was it a security issue?
Is there another way to achieve what I'm looking for (I want to wake my laptop via my home server, an HP Mediaserver WHS)? I thought that the i5 processors could provide that through AMT, but I haven't been able to find any software that appears to do that, at least for the i5-m430.
Can anyone shed light on this mystery?
Thanks,
Gerry
